Many of you have had strong reactions to the Sessums blog post, and it points out why Jeff assigned that post to begin with: because it got your professional brains whirring about what you might do in a similar situation. For me, that kind of information helps me stay on top of my game at a point in life when I'm not engaged in a formal learning environment.
Sadly, cheating isn't restricted to students. Here's an article from June about how the consequences for poor standardized test scores have led some administrators and teachers to cheat, too.
So ... who benefits from standardized tests in the end???
What an outrage! Aren't we s'pozed to be the role models that kids can emulate? What does it say when the adults cheat, lie, deceive in the name of progress? Is this were standardized tests are bringing us?
