Hi, y'all --
As you are getting ready to lead your own Webinars via Elluminate, Jeff and I put our money where our mouths are and led a Webinar of our own before class. We presented for the folks in Holland, Michigan, attending the MACUL Teaching and Learning in the Cloudhere. We couldn't get there in person, so our intrepid colleague Steve Best was our face-to-face host and coordinated this Webinar.
You can view the chat transcript or watch the Webinar here.
Some of our takeaways:
- Having interactivity during a Webinar matters.
- We liked being in the same room as co-presenters. We used two laptops so one person could monitor the chat while the other spoke via Webcam.
- We had audio issues on the Holland end; luckily, we had agreed to rendezvous with Steve 20 minutes beforehand, so it was a problem that was mostly solved by "air time." Lesson learned: get online early!
