Downloading Videos for Classroom Use

We're going to look at a video clip in class tomorrow (I won't spoil the magical surprise) and this reminds me that many of you will find access to popular video hosting sites like You Tube (or even Teacher Tube) are blocked at your schools. What to do?

There are many sites like savevid or zamzar that will allow you to download videos from many hosting sites (like You Tube) so that you can make use of cool video resources *and* save yourself from the grief of needing to access a video on the very day that web access at your school goes down. We'll be addressing the topic of video in the classroom at greater length on July 23rd.
